With big thanks to affiliate Jon Hamm Source, I’ve added scans from the newest TV Guide to the gallery. January also spoke in-depth to to Zap2it and the London Eveing Standard on Betty and the return of “Mad Men”. These are really meaty interviews about Betty and some of January’s thoughts on the period – not the standard “fat suit” questions. Out new layout will be up this week as well a some exciting site changes. Enjoy the interviews and scans until then!
On whether or not Betty may ever reconnect with Don…
“Like a lot of audience members, I liked the idea of that relationship. And I loved working with Jon and acting out those sometimes very heated arguments or passionate moments. We work really well together, and so I liked that. But, I just don’t think that it’s realistic, and Matthew doesn’t think that it’s realistic. She would have been able to deal with infidelity and things like that, but finding out that he was someone else just ended it for her in her head.”
On what the cast knows about the season before filming begins…
January Jones: “We don’t find out [anything] until we get that first script for each season, which is a couple days before the table read — or a day before the table read sometimes. The only time I’ve ever gotten a little bit of knowledge is if I had to learn something specifically and I’d needed to learn it before we started. Before Season 2, I was taking months of English horseback riding lessons, learning to jump and do all that, not really knowing why. I thought I was going to bite the bullet or something. Before the episode where we were in Rome, I had a few weeks to try to learn Italian. Things like that. But otherwise, no. And I don’t ask. I know some of the cast members ask and try to needle info out of [Matthew Weiner]. But, I’d rather be surprised.”

“I don’t think Betty is a villain. I don’t know that she has a black heart,” says Jones. “I disagree with her, a lot. I don’t know if I necessarily like her, and I don’t know if I would be her friend, but I defend her, fiercely. I remember at the end of season two, when she had that random affair in the bar, and the reaction I had to that from fans was ‘How could she do that to Don?’ I just thought: ‘Do you watch the show? The guy has been sleeping with so many other women’. I think that’s a little bit sexist. I would have divorced Don long before Betty did. I’m a bit old-fashioned when it comes to infidelity.”

It seems that January Jones was correct when she doubted her return for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, not only that, it has emerged that none of the Hellfire Club will return.
The Geek Files cite a studio source as saying not to look for the return of January Jones as Emma Frost, Alex Gonzalez as Riptide or Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore.
Jason Flemyng has already confirmed that he won’t return as the villainous father of Nightcrawler; Azazel, while the latest casting news includes the return of Daniel Cudmore’s Colossus, Fan Bingbing as Blink and Booboo Stewart as an as yet undisclosed part.
Written by Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn, X-Men: Days of Future Past will see the ensemble of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry will all return to the franchise alongside newcomers Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy for the release on July 18 2014.
As for Jones, she was last seen in Logan Miller’s western Sweetwater which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
