January’s Rep Releases A Statement

There will not be any speculation posted on this site so this will do it for our coverage of January’s accident.

“While being followed by paparazzi, Ms. Jones struck two parked cars,” said Jones’ rep, Evelyn Karamanos. “She did not flee the scene. She left her license with a witness and walked to her nearby home to call the police. She immediately returned to the scene to speak with the police. No citation was issued, nobody was injured, there was no alcohol involved and there is no investigation pending.”

‘Mad Men’ Star January Jones in Four-Car Accident

“Mad Men” star January Jones allegedly slammed into three parked cars and left the scene.

LAPD tells TMZ January was driving a Range Rover around 9PM when she allegedly lost control, hit the other cars and caused some major damage. We’re told a witness reported the accident to police and claimed that January fled on foot after saying, “I can’t deal with this commotion.”

Police tell us that while officers were on scene investigating January returned and claimed she fled because paparazzi were trailing her.

January was not cited or arrested, but her car was impounded and police have launched an investigation. Police say no alcohol or drugs were involved.

As for why paps might have been trying so hard to get a shot of Jones — photos of her doing a “walk of shame” were all over the Internet yesterday, showing her arriving home in a taxi in the same dress she wore to an event the night before (Below).

UPDATE: Police tell TMZ Jones told them she was at The London West Hollywood Hotel watching the Lakers lose and then drove home. She says several paparazzi started following her and she lost control of her car and struck 3 parked vehicles. Jones says the photogs were harassing her so she left her license and walked a half a block to her home and called 911. The dispatcher told Jones cops had just arrived on scene so she returned. We’re told there will not be a hit-and-run investigation.

And cops say they did not administer a field sobriety test because there was no evidence of alcohol.

January To Host “World Oceans Day” Party

A Small Site Note : We here at Janaury Jones Fan, do NOT and will NOT post information pertaining to January’s private life. That means no non-set paparazzi photos and no rumors or gossip circulating around the web. This site is to celebrate January’s work as an actor and activist. Nautica®, a leading global lifestyle brand, and Oceana, an ocean conservation organization dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans, will join forces to raise awareness for “World Oceans Day” on June 8, 2010. World Oceans Day pays homage to the world’s oceans and the important role the oceans play in our lives. As an official holiday, it aims to engage more people in the fight to reverse the declining health of marine ecosystems, increase awareness about the health of our world’s oceans and supply people with tangible things they can do that will influence health and longevity of our marine ecosystems.

To celebrate this official United Nations holiday, Nautica will show its commitment to water and to the mission of Oceana through a variety of activities taking place throughout the day in New York City and Los Angeles. The activities will include a Hudson River clean up in New York City and an exclusive World Oceans Day party in Los Angeles with GQ that will conclude with a special musical performance by Jakob Dylan.

“We are excited to continue building awareness with Oceana for World Oceans Day,” said Karen Murray, President of Nautica. “We are looking forward to encouraging and educating people to learn what they can do to help conserve and protect the ocean.”

Starting at 9:00 am, Nautica employees will embark on an all day clean up of the Hudson River at the Gansevoort Peninsula and shoreline using nets to pick up and skim debris. The Hudson River Park Trust is dedicated to improving the park’s Estuarine Sanctuary through public education, research and habitat enhancements.

To conclude the day, Nautica, GQ, and Oceana spokesperson and supporter January Jones, will host an exclusive World Oceans Day party in Los Angeles at the Sunset Tower Terrace. DJ Michelle Pesce will spin with a special musical performance by Jakob Dylan. The event will also honor Oceana’s 2010 Ocean Heroes, everyday people who are making a big difference for the oceans on a local or international level. January Jones’s Jaunt at Gladden

January Jones is an American actress popular for her role in the series Mad Men. But she is also a celebrity spokes person for Oceana. She was in Belize all of this week to see the annual passage of whale sharks through Belizean waters.

It happens off Gladden Spit and Jones is a spokesperson for Oceana’s Save the Shark Campaign. She got to swim with the massive slow moving creatures which can grow as long as 40 feet and weigh as much as 20 tonnes, and as she told local Oceana Vice President Audrey Matura Shepherd, it was an awe inspiring experience.

January Jones, Hollywood star
”I got to go on amazing trips and interact with these different species of shark. It’s been a dream come through for me personally because I not only enjoy it but I loved it. It’s brought awareness to the depleting shark populations around the world and it’s just something I am very passionate about.”

Audrey Matura-Shepherd, VP Oceana
”And how was your experience in Belize? Especially when you got to see your first whale shark.”

January Jones, Hollywood star
“It was like nothing… I can’t really put into words. It was sort of a religious experience I think just how perfect it all turned out, the fact that I was able to come to a place that I have never been that is so extremely beautiful. On the first day to go down, we weren’t sure, there’s no guarantees that we would be able to see a whale shark. They are a very elusive animal and we had just left the area and had given up a little bit and we saw one within 20 feet of water. So it was really a perfect situation and to be able to swim with it and just see it that close, it meant a lot to me.”
