Swedish Auto Coming to DVD

January Jones Fan is happy to tell you that Swedish Auto is finally coming to DVD on February 23, 2010. You can order it here and I’ll be adding DVD art soon. Expect DVD caps soon as I already have my copy pre-ordered. This is really one of January’s best pre-Mad Men roles, so be sure to check it out.

Mad Men Season 3 DVD Releases March 23

Season 3 of the groundbreaking new series from AMC, that critics are calling one of “TV’s best-ever dramas,” on DVD and Blu-ray. Set in 1960’s New York City, MAD MEN explores the glamorous and ego-driven “Golden Age” of advertising, where everyone is selling something, and nothing is ever what it seems.

Returning for its third season, the two-time Golden Globe®-winning series for Best TV drama burst with one scandalous surprise after another. Jon Hamm and the rest of the award-winning ensemble continue to captivate us as they contend with a world on the brink. Welcome to Mad Men – a shocking portrait of a time that was anything but innocent. Nothing is as sexy. Nothing is as provocative. Nothing is as it seems. Mad Men: Where the Truth Lies.

Back in early September, soon after the season started, Amazon began taking pre-orders for Mad Men – Season 3 on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc, but no release date was provided yet. Now Lionsgate has alerted retailers to expect both versions to hit stores on March 23rd.

The Boat That Rocked UK Releases 09/07/09

The DVD and BluRay release of The Boat That Rocked will be on September 07, 2009 in pretty much everywhere but the United States.

Another fabulous Richard Curtis comedy that celebrates all that was great about sixties pop with an all star cast that includes Bill Nighy, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rhys Ifans and Kenneth Branagh. To celebrate the release The Boat That Rocked we have five copies to give away.

In the mid 1960′s, English pop was the very centre of the world, the whole world grooved along to the beat of the English drum, however if you listened to UK radio you’d think it was still the cosy 1950′s. Unless you were tuned in to legendary pirate radio station Radio Rock, broadcasting rock n roll 24 hours a day from a run down cargo ship out in the North Sea. Radio Rock boss Quentin (the always fab Bill Nighy) has enough on his hands with crazy DJ’s and a government minister (Kenneth Branagh) who is determined to shut him down to be too bothered with the arrival of his teenage Godson Carl (Tom Sturridge) who is about to embark on the greatest adventure of his life.

Brilliant fun, fabulous cast and a very, very groovy soundtrack The Boat That Rocked is not to be missed, extras include deleted scenes, audio commentary and featurettes. Our competition runs until 10 September and to win a copy of the DVD all you have to do is tell us the name of the real life pirate radio station Radio Rock is based on.

To enter you have to be a subscriber of our newsletter service. If you haven’t signed up for this yet then what are you waiting for, a daily newsletter of all the latest stories, comps, reviews, features and news happening in the world of Memorable TV.

Brand New January Interviews + Videos + Photo Shoot!

January Jones Fan is happy to be the first fansite to bring you a stunning new photo shoot, interview and 4 videos of our girl from Hollywood Reporter for the Best Actress : Drama Roundtable.I’ve added the shoot and 681 caps from the 4 videos to the gallery, the 4 videos to the video archive, and the interview to the press archive. January looks amazing with that red lipstick and lovely updo! Enjoy!

Here are some snippets from the interview. The full interview is here. She talks about growing up in South Dakota, coming to Hollywood, auditioning for the role of Peggy twice and those infamous herbal cigarettes from Mad Men!

The Hollywood Reporter: You’ve all worked in both film and television. What’s the biggest difference?

January Jones: We get the material literally a day or two before we shoot it. So, it’s very spontaneous. It works, but — unlike a film, where you have the script and you have the beginning and end and hopefully an arc — you don’t know where the character is going. (…)

THR: How did you feel when you went in for “Mad Men”?

Jones: I didn’t know what it was; I just knew that the writing was so amazing. My character wasn’t even in the pilot. And I auditioned for Peggy twice. They said, “Oh, it’s between you and one other girl” and the other girl gets it. “But there’s this other little role, she’s the wife, we don’t know if she’s going to be on the show, but do you want it?” “Yeah, but just promise me that I’m not going to sign a five-year contract and do nothing.” And it worked out.

Here is the 2 on 1 Interview along with Rose Byrne, and the other three with the entire guest list are in the Video Archive! Don’t forget that Emmy nominations will be announced July 16 and I’ll be watching to update if *fingers crossed* January gets a nomination!

As always, January Jones Fan is your #1 online resource for the most up-to-date news on January! Expect even more updates today as I’ll be uploading some fun stuff in both the gallery and the video archive@
